# CMOC Group Flags Up to 90% Surge in First-Half 2026 Profit on Strong Metals Markets

CMOC Group ( (HK:3993) ) has issued an announcement.

CMOC Group has issued a positive profit alert for the first half of 2026, projecting net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB15.5 billion to RMB16.5 billion, up about 79% to 90% year-on-year. Profit after excluding non-recurring items is expected to reach RMB15.0 billion to RMB16.0 billion, representing an increase of roughly 72% to 83% compared with the same period in 2025.

The sharp earnings growth is driven by higher sales volumes and selling prices of copper products, a strong rise in molybdenum and tungsten prices, and the consolidation of its Brazilian gold-mining business. Copper metal output climbed about 9.7% to roughly 388,000 tonnes, highlighting emerging economies of scale, although CMOC cautioned that the figures are based on unaudited management accounts and advised investors to exercise care when trading its shares.

The profit alert underscores CMOC’s improving operational efficiency and favourable exposure to rising commodity prices, which together bolster its financial performance and may strengthen its standing in the global mining industry. Stakeholders will look to the upcoming interim report for audited confirmation of these results and further detail on how increased scale and diversified metal revenues are reshaping the group’s earnings profile.
