Hyperliquid whale positions totaled $4.95 billion, with short exposure slightly exceeding longs, according to Coinglass data. According to ChainCatcher, long positions stood at $2.41 billion, accounting for 48.76% of total exposure, while short positions were $2.54 billion, or 51.24%.

The data showed aggregate unrealized profit and loss of -$34.34 million on long positions and -$65.59 million on short positions.

Separately, a whale wallet labeled 0x082e..88 opened a 5x leveraged, cross-margin long position in HYPE at a price of $38.6755, with an unrealized profit and loss of $38.95 million at the time of the report.
