# Nine Listed Chinese Brokerages Forecast Strong 2026 H1 Profit Growth; Citic Securities, Guotai Haitong Top CNY 20 Billion

Nine listed Chinese securities brokerages had released 2026 first-half earnings forecasts as of July 10, all reporting high growth, with China Merchants Securities saying its operating performance hit a record high, according to 36Kr. Citic Securities and Guotai Haitong each forecast net profit of more than CNY 20 billion for the period, while Tianfeng Securities posted the largest projected increase at up to 693.5%. Several brokerages reported a sharp acceleration in the second quarter, with five seeing single-quarter net profit more than double year on year.
