# U.S. Stock Movement | SK Hynix drags down the storage sector, Sandisk and Western Digital drop over 6%, Micron Tech falls over 5%

Affected by the sharp decline of storage concept stocks in the South Korean market, storage concept stocks in the U.S. stock market collectively fell in pre-market trading today. Among them, SK Hynix dropped over 9%, Sandisk and Western Digital fell over 6%, Micron Tech dropped over 5%, Seagate Tech fell over 4%, Rambus dropped over 3%, and Silicon Motion fell over 2%. On the news front, South Korean local brokerage (core stock) KIS expects SK Hynix's operating profit in the second quarter to reach 60.4 trillion won, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 61% and a year-on-year surge of 556%, but still 8% lower than the market consensus estimate of 65 trillion won. The underperformance is mainly attributed to SK Hynix's higher proportion of HBM revenue compared to its peers, which led to its average selling price increase being lower than the market average. KIS also expects SK Hynix's operating profit margin in the second quarter to be 65%, a decline of 8 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.
