The RMB central parity against the USD was set at 6.7910, up 80 bps MoM. The PBOC conducted RMB426.5 billion of seven-day reverse repos, while RMB15 billion of reverse repos matured, resulting in a net injection of RMB411.5 billion in a single day. The three major A-share indices opened mixed. The Shanghai Composite opened down 3 pts, or 0.09%, at 3,963. The Shenzhen Component Index opened up 45 pts, or 0.31%, at 14,970. The ChiNext Index opened up 28 pts, or 0.74%, at 3,879. Banking stocks ICBC (601398.SH) -0.080 (-1.067%) and CCB (601939.SH) -0.110 (-1.096%) opened down 0.9% and 1.9%, while CMB (600036.SH) -0.120 (-0.323%) opened down 0.5%. Among insurers, CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) +0.010 (+0.026%) opened up 1.6% after the company forecast more than 2x growth in 1H25 profit, while CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.010 (-0.033%) opened down 0.3%. In addition, BYD Company (002594.SZ) +1.250 (+1.386%) opened down 0.6%. CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) +10.780 (+2.961%) opened up 1.1%. Changxin Technology (688825.SH), the world's fourth-largest DRAM manufacturer, priced its IPO at RMB8.66 per share. Among chip stocks, SMIC (688981.SH) -5.730 (-3.559%) opened down 0.6%, while HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) -8.870 (-2.516%) opened flat. AI chip stock CAMBRICON (688256.SH) -21.000 (-1.488%) opened up 0.6%. Domestic GPU stock MOORE THREADS (688795.SH) -33.250 (-4.783%) opened up 0.7%. LQKJ (688008.SH) -8.100 (-3.000%) opened flat. Optical fibre stock YANGTZE OPTICAL FIBRE (601869.SH) +40.020 (+10.000%) forecast interim net profit growth of more than 711% and hit limit up during the pre-market auction session. Memory stock GIGADEVICE (603986.SH) +13.510 (+2.313%) opened up 2.7%. Among the three major optical module players, ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT (300308.SZ) -0.050 (-0.004%) opened up 0.5%, TFC (300394.SZ) -7.200 (-2.632%) opened up 0.5%, while EOPTOLINK (300502.SZ) -2.820 (-0.496%) opened down 0.7%.
