Try Tradr's IREX or IREZ ## **IREN Hires Chief Information Security Officer** On Wednesday, IREN disclosed that it has selected Eric Hammersley as its new chief information security officer. Hammersley is a cloud security veteran with more than two decades of experience. He joins IREN from Natunix (NTNX). The executive served as VP of engineering and chief product security officer at the cloud software infrastructure company. Hammersley's appointment comes less than a month after IREN appointed ex-Oracle (ORCL) and Google (GOOGL) executives in other C-suite roles. IREN also noted that Hammersley has experience leading software product security for Nvidia's (NVDA) high-performance computing environment. He also previously served in senior engineering positions for the U.S. federal government and defense industry. "As Chief Information Security Officer, Mr. Hammersley will lead IREN's security program across all three layers of its platform: data centers, compute and software," IREN noted. ## **IREN Chases Capacity Expansion** Meanwhile, the new appointment comes as IREN races to reach 480 megawatts of capacity by the end of this year. The neocloud company is also targeting an annual recurring revenue of $3.7 billion. IREN now boasts 5 gigawatts of secured power across its ready and upcoming campuses. The company recently entered Europe through its acquisition of a Spanish data center operator. It is also building an 800-megawatt data center facility in Bundey, South Australia. Recently, IREN added Nvidia to its customer base through a two-part $5.5 billion deal. ## **Is IREN a Good Stock to Buy Now?** On Wall Street, IREN's shares continue to carry a Moderate Buy consensus rating from analysts. This is based on eight Buys, two Holds, and one Sell rating issued over the past three months.
