# Following Samsung and SK Hynix, ASML Plans One-Time €20,000 Bonus for Employees as Strong AI Demand Drives Performance Growth

ASML Holding of the Netherlands will award a one-time bonus of €20,000 (approximately $22,862) to its global employees. As artificial intelligence demand pushes sales to record highs, the company has joined a growing number of chipmakers sharing performance dividends with their workforce.

The company will grant stock awards to its global employees on January 1, 2027, provided that employees remain employed throughout the vesting period, with vesting scheduled to be completed by early 2030.

ASML’s move comes amid a surge in demand for its products driven by the global AI construction boom. Previously, chip manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have also issued bonuses to employees. As investments in AI infrastructure generate substantial profits, an increasing number of the biggest beneficiaries are facing pressure to share more profits with their employees. In May this year, TSMC also committed to raising the average profit-sharing distributed to employees this year by more than 30%.
