# Canton: adds access to tokenized metals through Ember Protocol - 18 Jul 2026

Canton says Ember Protocol is now live on the network, giving users access to tokenized gold and silver through eXAU (Ember Gold) and eXAG (Ember Silver), according to the Canton announcement.

The launch adds a live tokenized-asset use case to Canton and expands what can be accessed on the network beyond existing crypto-native activity.
