Shares of **AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc** (NYSE:AMC) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. AMC reported quarterly earnings of 14 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of 6 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $1.597 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.474 billion. AMC Entertainment shares jumped 11.6% to $2.16 on Monday.
