# Archer Aviation Stock Takes Off on New AI Aircraft Platform Launch

Archer Aviation (ACHR) shares climbed about 15% on Monday after the company introduced a new autonomous aircraft platform developed with defense technology company Anduril, expanding its push beyond electric air taxis.

The platform, created under a partnership established in 2024, is designed to support both commercial and defense applications. The latest product builds on Archer's broader strategy to diversify its aviation technology offerings as it works toward commercialization.

Archer also recently introduced Zee, an aviation-focused artificial intelligence foundation model that processes flight data, including air traffic communications, weather conditions, terrain information and aircraft telemetry. The AI model is designed to operate directly on devices without requiring an internet connection, potentially supporting autonomous aviation applications.

The company said the expanded technology portfolio strengthens its long-term strategy beyond electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Archer ended the latest reporting period with approximately $1.8 billion in liquidity, providing funding for product development and commercial expansion, although the company continues to face execution and cash burn risks typical of pre-revenue aerospace businesses.
