# Memory Chips Surge Pre-Market: Micron Up Over 5%, SanDisk Up Nearly 8%

Longbridge News learns that during the pre-market session of Tuesday (July 21), the memory chip sector rallied collectively, with mainstream stocks posting significant gains. As of press time, sector leader Micron Technology (MU.US) was up over 5% in pre-market trading at $922.50, while SanDisk (SNDK.US) showed the strongest performance, up nearly 8% at $1,500.83.

Other mainstream names also followed suit. On the derivative front, related ETFs and small-cap stocks were also active. MUU.US rose about 13.09% in pre-market trading, while MUD.US fell approximately 6.41%. SNXX.US surged about 16.09%, and SNDQ.US saw significant volatility, trading at $33.57.
