The market reacted positively, with EVTL stock moving upwards over 8% on Monday trading.

The test is of significance as transition flight is one of the key technical hurdles for eVTOL aircraft. Vertical's full-scale prototype took off in helicopter mode, shifted into wingborne cruise, and returned to a vertical landing in front of regulators, customers, industry leaders, and media.

The flight does not create revenue, but it could improve how the market views Vertical's technology. Public tests at a major airshow can help an early-stage aircraft maker stand out in a crowded field where many companies are still working to prove that their designs can perform outside controlled presentations.
