# Quantum Computing Sector Rises in Overnight Session, IONQ Up Over 1%, QBTS Up Nearly 1%

During the overnight session on Wednesday (July 22), the quantum computing sector extended its strong performance from the regular session, with major stocks rallying across the board. As of press time, all four stocks in the sector were trading higher. IonQ (IONQ.US) showed the most robust performance, with its latest overnight trade at $36.15, up 1.80% from the previous close.

D-Wave Quantum (QBTS.US) traded at $17.86 in the overnight session, up 0.34%; Rigetti Computing (RGTI.US) was at $15.35, gaining 0.46%; and Quantum Computing Inc (QUBT.US) stood at $8.24, edging up 0.24%. Overall, while trading activity in the overnight session was lower compared to the regular session, buying interest remained strong, pushing stock prices further away from the day's lows.

Looking back at the regular session, the quantum computing sector experienced significant volatility before surging strongly. IONQ's regular session turnover reached a massive $727 million, with volume exceeding 20 million shares, indicating significant institutional participation. Both QBTS and RGTI surged over 6% during the regular session, while QUBT also gained more than 3%. In the overnight session, despite reduced volume, stock prices stabilized near the day's highs, suggesting that short-term market enthusiasm for the quantum computing concept remains sustained, with investors holding high expectations for future technological breakthroughs and commercialization.
