# PING AN Freezes New Investments in US Private Mkt Over Past Yr: Wire

PING AN (02318.HK) +0.050 (+0.089%) Short selling $219.95M; Ratio 33.419% froze new investments in the US private market over the past year, according to Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter, indicating that concerns triggered by tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump have yet to abate.

After Trump announced sweeping tariff hikes in April 2025, PING AN stopped making new investment commitments in the US private market and has not resumed them since then, sources disclosed.
