# Solana: DEX spot volume exceeds Bybit - 22 Jul 2026

In a Solana post, the project said spot volume on Solana now exceeds every centralized exchange except Binance, putting its DEX activity above Bybit at the time of the announcement.

That comparison points to Solana functioning as a sizable trading venue rather than only a settlement chain. If traders continue routing meaningful spot activity through Solana DEXs, it can strengthen the network's utility case and reinforce the view that SOL is tied to an active onchain market.

A volume lead across venues is still a narrow signal. Trading activity can reflect short-term conditions, and volume by itself does not show whether the token captures lasting economic value or whether this level of usage will persist.
