# Insider: Corporate Restructurings, AI Pivots, and Stealth Movers

We are seeing one of the most significant waves of corporate restructurings in the mid-to-small cap space since 2024. I'm told that multiple companies across diverse sectors are quietly executing major strategic pivots. Whether it's a legacy oilfield services firm emerging from bankruptcy or a micro-cap dumping its old business for an AI software play, management teams are urgently setting the stage for the second half of 2026.

### Avalon GloboCare (ALBT.US)

This company has recently caught the industry's attention. I'm told that by late July 2026, Avalon GloboCare will officially rebrand as Change Agents Corp, swapping its ticker to CHGA. The management is going all-in on agentic AI software. According to people familiar with the matter, its core AI platform, Beacon, is slated to launch by the end of the third quarter. Whether this aggressive pivot can reverse its historical underperformance in the medical device sector will be the biggest thing to watch later this year.

### Nine Energy Service (NINE.US)

After enduring a brutal stretch of plunging industry prices, Nine Energy Service is finally getting some breathing room. The company successfully emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2026, wiping out roughly USD 320 million in secured debt. Insiders tell me the company is now laser-focused on repairing its balance sheet ahead of its early August Q2 earnings call, while its stock has shown early signs of a volatile recovery.

### Service Properties Trust (SVC.US)

The hotel and retail REIT Service Properties Trust is still battling looming debt pressures. Following the fire sale of over 60 hotels in late 2025, the company just completed a 1-for-5 reverse stock split in July 2026 to maintain its listing status. While its quarterly dividend of USD 0.05 per share has been preserved for now, I'm told the market remains on high alert regarding the upcoming occupancy metrics of its Sonesta-branded properties.

### US Foods Holding (USFD.US)

Unlike the firms scrambling to survive, the food distribution giant US Foods Holding is operating from a position of strength. The company posted USD 9.6 billion in net sales for Q1 2026, up 2.8% year-over-year. I'm told that robust case volume from independent restaurants remains the primary growth engine. The company has confidently reaffirmed its full-year profit guidance, helping its shares outperform the broader sector recently.

### Public Service Enterprise Group (PEG.US)

The utility player Public Service Enterprise Group has also been a focal point. Despite beating both top and bottom-line consensus estimates in Q1 2026 and declaring a quarterly dividend of USD 0.67 in July, some Wall Street analysts recently cut its price target citing regulatory hurdles. I'm told management is currently engaged in intensive back-channel discussions with New Jersey state regulators.
