Netflix's most recent earnings report last week did little to stop the bleeding. The company's revenue growth of 13.4% represented another quarter of slowing rates, coming on the heels of 17.6% in Q4 2025 and 16.2% in Q1 2026.

Some might argue that the company has yet to recover its mojo after losing out on acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery. Moreover, it didn't exactly help that its Q3 revenue guidance of 11.7% growth reflects a further slowdown.

With valuation multiples continuing to contract and sales growth tightening, is there an end in sight to this bearish narrative?

Top investor Prosper Junior Bakiny thinks so, and believes Netflix is still scratching the surface of what's possible. He cites a recent statement from company management that reflected Netflix's view that it is capturing just 7% of the addressable revenue market.

"This data suggests a massive opportunity ahead as streaming continues to displace traditional cable due to its much more convenient format, and that's excellent news for the company's future," says the 5-star investor, who is among the top 4% of stock pros covered by TipRanks and a writer for The Motley Fool.

It's not just blind faith in the Netflix name that has Junior Bakiny stoked. After all, the investor notes the company's live sporting events are an important – but by no means exclusive – part of its plan to generate additional memberships. And the company is putting its money where its mouth is, as Netflix has the rights to broadcast the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in the U.S. and Canada, for instance.

"Live programming is just one of the many niches the company could tap into to boost engagement and subscriber count," states the investor, adding that Netflix is also investing in podcasts and gaming, among other initiatives.

That makes Junior Bakiny very optimistic regarding the company's future runway for growth in the years to come.

"Netflix can recover and deliver strong returns to patient investors. The stock is still a buy, especially on the dip," he sums up. (To watch Junior Bakiny's track record, click here)

Wall Street is also feeling moderately bullish about Netflix. With 22 Buys and 9 Holds, NFLX carries a Moderate Buy consensus rating. Its 12-month average price target of $95.57 points to gains approaching 40%. (See **NFLX stock forecast**)
