# Huaqin lifts Nexchip Semiconductor stake to 10.82% in strategic on-market deal

Huaqin Technology Co., Ltd. Class H ( (HK:3296) ) just unveiled an update.

Huaqin Telecom, a wholly owned unit of Huaqin Technology Co., Ltd. Class H, has acquired 4,451,600 H shares in Nexchip Semiconductor on the Hong Kong market, paying about HK$144.2 million at an average price of HK$32.39 per share. The purchase lifts the group’s stake in Nexchip Semiconductor to roughly 10.82% of its issued share capital, with the deal funded entirely from internal cash resources.

The latest acquisition follows a series of stake-building transactions in Nexchip Semiconductor since August 2025, which together cross the 5% threshold for a discloseable transaction under Hong Kong listing rules but remain below 25%, avoiding a shareholder vote. By consolidating its shareholding in a key 12-inch wafer foundry, Huaqin strengthens its strategic alignment with a critical semiconductor player, signaling a long-term commitment that may enhance its industry positioning and influence across the chip manufacturing value chain.
