# AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Provides Q2 2026 Results, Increases Same Store Outlook, and Suspends EPS, FFO, and Core FFO Outlook Due to Proposed Merger

AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) based in Arlington, Virginia, disclosed its financial performance for the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. Earnings per Share – diluted (EPS) declined by 41.0% from $1.88 in Q2 2025 to $1.11 in Q2 2026. Funds from Operations attributable to common stockholders - diluted (FFO) per share saw a decrease of 2.5%, dropping from $2.80 in Q2 2025 to $2.73 in Q2 2026. Core FFO per share also experienced a decrease, amounting to $2.86 in Q2 2026 as opposed to the previous year's $2.90. These figures illustrate the company's financial performance in the second quarter.
