# Amkor Technology, Inc.  Surges 12% After Hours on USD1.5 Billion Chip Packaging Agreement With NVIDIA Corporation

Amkor Technology, Inc. (AMKR.US) announced a USD1.5 billion agreement with NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) to expand advanced semiconductor packaging and testing capacity in the United States. Following the announcement, Amkor shares surged 12.2% in after-hours trading to USD73.3.

Under the agreement, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) will make a prepayment to support the expansion of Amkor Technology, Inc. (AMKR.US) 's advanced packaging business in the United States, including capacity in Arizona.
