# Memory Chips Rise in Overnight Session, Micron Up Nearly 3%, SanDisk Up Nearly 1%

The memory chip sector advanced overall during the overnight session on Thursday (July 23) Eastern Time. As of press time, most major stocks in the sector closed higher, with Micron Technology (MU.US) leading the gains. Micron traded at **$983.50** in overnight session, up **2.43%** from the previous close, while SanDisk (SNDK.US) rose **0.99%** to **$1,603.29**.

Among other major names, Western Digital (WDC.US) dipped 0.15% to $557.45 in overnight trading, Seagate Technology (STX.US) remained nearly flat at $913.28, and Everspin Technologies (MRAM.US) gained 0.90% to $16.75. On the derivative ETF front, the Micron bull ETF (MUU.US) fell 1.34% to $36.00, the Micron bear ETF (MUD.US) declined 0.46% to $10.96, the SanDisk bull ETF (SNXX.US) dropped 0.71% to $18.19, and the SanDisk bear ETF (SNDQ.US) fell 0.85% to $28.00.

Trading volume was relatively light during the overnight session, but Micron Technology still recorded $112 million in overnight turnover, indicating sustained investor interest. The sector maintained its strong momentum from the regular session, with investors remaining optimistic about the outlook for the memory chip industry.
