# Analyst Maintains Buy Rating and Unchanged $40 Price Target on Encouraging Darlifarnib Combination Data in Advanced RCC

Joseph Pantginis, an analyst from H.C. Wainwright, reiterated the Buy rating on Kura Oncology. The associated price target remains the same with $40.00.

Joseph Pantginis has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, primarily the encouraging clinical profile of darlifarnib in combination with cabozantinib in advanced, cabo-naïve clear cell renal cell carcinoma. The Phase 1a FIT-001 data show response rates of up to 50% and a median progression-free survival of around 13 months in a heavily pretreated population, with safety that remains manageable even at full-dose cabozantinib.

Pantginis also views darlifarnib’s ability to potentially boost the effectiveness of widely used VEGF tyrosine kinase inhibitors as a key strategic asset that could position it as a backbone in targeted therapy regimens. With a global randomized Phase 1b study underway and a broader platform strategy to test darli across multiple targeted combinations, he sees a clear pathway for value creation and thus maintains a $40 price target, unchanged from prior estimates.

In another report released on July 22, Bank of America Securities also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $30.00 price target.
