### Second-Quarter 2026 Consolidated Results

Net sales for the second quarter of 2026 were $472.0 million, an 11.2% increase compared to $424.6 million in the prior-year quarter, driven by $31 million from higher volumes and $16 million from favorable Average Unit Value (AUV). Operating income increased by 8.6% to $133.8 million in Q2 2026, up from $123.2 million in Q2 2025. The operating income margin was 28.3% in Q2 2026, a decrease of 70 basis points (bps) from 29.0% in Q2 2025. Net earnings for Q2 2026 were $96.7 million, a 10.1% increase from $87.8 million in Q2 2025. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 7.5% to $166 million in Q2 2026, compared to $154 million in Q2 2025. The Adjusted EBITDA margin was 35.2% in Q2 2026, down 110 bps from 36.3% in Q2 2025. Adjusted net earnings increased by 10.3% to $101 million in Q2 2026, from $91 million in Q2 2025. Gross profit was $195.0 million in Q2 2026, compared to $175.8 million in Q2 2025. Selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses were $93.7 million in Q2 2026, up from $84.4 million in Q2 2025. Equity earnings from unconsolidated affiliates, net, were - $33.4 million in Q2 2026, compared to - $31.9 million in Q2 2025. The increase in consolidated operating income was primarily due to a $13 million margin benefit from sales volume growth, a $12 million margin benefit from favorable AUV, and a $2 million increase in equity earnings from the Worthington Armstrong Joint Venture (“WAVE”), partially offset by a $9 million increase in SG&A expenses and a $6 million increase in manufacturing costs.

### Second-Quarter 2026 Segment Performance

#### Mineral Fiber

Net sales increased by 7.9% to $288.2 million in Q2 2026, from $267.0 million in Q2 2025, driven by $16 million of favorable AUV and $5 million of higher volumes. Operating income grew by 7.0% to $105.3 million in Q2 2026, from $98.4 million in Q2 2025. The operating income margin was 36.5% in Q2 2026, down 40 bps from 36.9% in Q2 2025. Adjusted EBITDA increased by 6.8% to $129 million in Q2 2026, from $121 million in Q2 2025. The Adjusted EBITDA margin was 44.7% in Q2 2026, down 50 bps from 45.2% in Q2 2025.

#### Architectural Specialties

Net sales increased by 16.6% to $183.8 million in Q2 2026, from $157.6 million in Q2 2025, due to a $15 million increase in organic net sales and an $11 million inorganic contribution from acquisitions. Operating income increased by 14.8% to $29.4 million in Q2 2026, from $25.6 million in Q2 2025. The operating income margin was 16.0% in Q2 2026, down 20 bps from 16.2% in Q2 2025. Adjusted EBITDA increased by 10.4% to $37 million in Q2 2026, from $34 million in Q2 2025. The Adjusted EBITDA margin was 20.4% in Q2 2026, down 110 bps from 21.5% in Q2 2025.

#### Unallocated Corporate

Unallocated Corporate operating loss was - $1 million in both Q2 2026 and Q2 2025.

### Year-to-Date 2026 Cash Flow (Six Months Ended June 30)

Net cash provided by operating activities increased by $3 million or 3% to $125.9 million in 2026, compared to $122.6 million in 2025. Net cash used for investing activities increased to - $44.9 million in 2026, compared to $13.2 million provided in 2025, primarily due to cash paid for the acquisition of Eventscape. Net cash used for financing activities was - $114.2 million in 2026, compared to - $134.7 million in 2025. Adjusted Free Cash Flow was $147 million in 2026, compared to $136 million in 2025.

### Share Repurchase Program

In the second quarter of 2026, Armstrong World Industries, Inc. repurchased 0.5 million shares of common stock for $75 million at an average price of $163.20 per share.
