# Sk Hynix, Bloom Energy, Seagate, Micron Technology and Visa: Why These 5 Stocks Are on Investors' Radars Today

Major U.S. indices closed mixed on Tuesday, with the **Dow Jones Industrial Average** gaining 1.03% to 52,747.32 and the **S&P 500** adding 0.2% to 7,428.78. The **Nasdaq** slipped 0.22% to end at 24,876.91.

Citadel Securities reportedly predicted the Federal Reserve could deliver a surprise 25-basis-point rate hike, while **Jim Bianco** noted markets were already pricing in roughly a 38% probability of such a move, suggesting the forecast was not far-fetched.

However, mainstream economists expected the Fed to leave rates unchanged, with attention focused on whether Chair Kevin Warsh would signal that future policy decisions would remain data-dependent.

These are the top stocks that gained the attention of retail traders and investors through the day.

## **SK hynix** Inc. (NASDAQ:SKHY)

SK Hynix fell 8.98% to close at $130.17, after trading between an intraday high of $136.49 and a low of $128.29; the stock’s 52-week range is $128.29 to $194.45. In after-hours trading, the stock rose 1.7% to $132.39.

The semiconductor maker came under pressure as investors reassessed the crowded artificial-intelligence memory trade, with concerns centering on stretched positioning, competition from China and whether hyperscaler spending can keep supporting the sector’s rally.

SK hynix reported record second-quarter results on Tuesday night, with revenue rising 257% year over year to KRW 79.32 trillion ($54.52 billion) and operating profit increasing 557% to KRW 60.54 trillion ($41.6 billion), driven by strong AI-related demand and higher sales of high-value memory products. The company also surpassed KRW 100 trillion ($68.7 billion) in first-half cumulative revenue for the first time.

SK hynix said it has secured multi-year agreements with around 10 key customers and highlighted strong progress with its next-generation HBM4 memory, which has met customer performance, power-efficiency and cost targets. The company plans to expand production capacity while maintaining disciplined capital spending to support long-term AI demand.

Seagate beat fourth-quarter expectations, reporting adjusted EPS of $5.71 on $3.63 billion in revenue, driven by strong cloud data center demand. The company also posted a 52.7% non-GAAP gross margin, generated $1.1 billion in free cash flow and returned capital to shareholders through debt reduction, dividends and share repurchases.

Looking ahead, Seagate forecast first-quarter revenue of $4.1 billion (plus or minus $100 million) and adjusted EPS of $7.30 (plus or minus 20 cents), both above Wall Street expectations.

The memory-chip maker was swept into a broader selloff in semiconductor shares as investors questioned how long strong high-bandwidth memory demand, pricing power and heavy hyperscaler spending can sustain the AI rally, while also weighing renewed competition concerns tied to China.

## **Visa Inc.** (NYSE:V)

**Visa** rose 1.12% to close at $366.59, trading as high as $371.16 and as low as $358.25; its 52-week range is $293.89 to $371.16. In the after-hours session, the stock fell 1.15% to $362.37.
