# Dow Tumbles 400 Points; Procter & Gamble Shares Fall After Q4 Results

U.S. stocks traded mostly lower this morning, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 400 points on Wednesday.

Following the market opening Wednesday, the Dow traded down 0.78% to 52,334.00 while the NASDAQ declined 0.02% to 24,872.92. The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.04% to 7,426.03.

**Leading and Lagging Sectors**

Energy shares jumped by 3% on Wednesday.

In trading on Tuesday, industrials stocks fell by 1.1%.

**Top Headline**

**Procter & Gamble Co** (NYSE:PG) shares fell around 4% on Wednesday after the company reported worse-than-expected Q4 sales results and issued FY27 GAAP EPS guidance below estimates.

Procter & Gamble reported quarterly earnings of $1.43 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.41 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $21.203 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $21.379 billion.

**Equities Trading UP**  

-   **Autonomix Medical Inc (NASDAQ:AMIX)** shares shot up 117% to $5.96.
-   Shares of **Nocera Inc** (NASDAQ:NCRA) got a boost, surging 113% to $3.04 after the company announced it acquired a 30% interest in QMAX Technology.
-   **Star Fashion Culture Holdings Ltd (**NASDAQ:STFS) shares were also up, gaining 53% to $5.57.

**Equities Trading DOWN**

-   **AiRWA Inc (**NASDAQ:YYAI) shares dropped 49% to $0.45.
-   Shares of **Processa Pharmaceuticals Inc (**NASDAQ:PCSA) were down 33% to $2.03 after the company announced a $200 million private placement and acquisition of Vidya Therapeutics BTK Inhibitor VT-7208.
-   **Parsons Corp** (NYSE:PSN) was down, falling 33% to $41.42 after the company reported worse-than-expected second-quarter sales results and cut its FY26 sales guidance below estimates.

**Commodities**  

In commodity news, oil traded up 6.4% to $84.35 while gold traded down 0.7% at $4,011.50.

Silver traded down 0.2% to $57.410 on Wednesday, while copper fell 0.6% to $6.3220.

**Euro zone**

European shares were mixed today. The eurozone’s STOXX 600 fell 0.1%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index fell 1.3% London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.3%, Germany’s DAX gained 0.2%, while France’s CAC 40 fell 0.6%.

**Asia Pacific Markets**

Asian markets closed mixed on Wednesday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 dipping 1.49%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index surging 1.96%, China’s Shanghai Composite rising 0.40% and India’s BSE Sensex gaining 1.2%.

**Economics**

The volume of mortgage applications declined by 6.4% from the previous week in the week ending July 24.
