# Ripple, Aviva Launch First Tokenized Fund On XRP Ledger: What Does It Mean for XRP?

Ripple and Aviva Investors have launched the first tokenised fund on the **XRP** (CRYPTO: XRP) Ledger Wednesday, marking the first tokenized fund structure approved by the Central Bank of Ireland.

### What Did Ripple And Aviva Actually Launch?

According to a press release, eligible investors with digital wallets get access to the same investment objective, risk profile, and regulatory protections as the conventional fund.

All assets are held by **Bank of New York Mellon** (NYSE:BK).

The fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity through exposure to high-grade U.S. dollar-denominated short-term debt instruments. 

Komainu provided regulated institutional digital asset custody and Licuido supplied the tokenisation infrastructure for the launch.

“Aviva Investors has demonstrated that it is possible to bring a regulated, institutional-grade tokenised product to market on live infrastructure, with real investor protections in place,” said **Nigel Khakoo**, Senior Vice President of Trading and Markets at Ripple.

### Why The XRP Ledger And Why It Matters?

Aviva Investors CEO **Mark Versey** said tokenisation is a significant development for the investment industry and that the partnership with Ripple was crucial to bringing the product to market. 

The XRP Ledger has processed more than 4 billion transactions since 2012, supports nearly 8 million active wallets, and runs on 130-plus independent validators.

The CBI approval is the more consequential milestone. A regulated fund structure on a public blockchain, cleared by a major financial regulator, gives other asset managers a template to follow rather than a concept to study.

### Can XRP Break Above $1.09?

XRP holds at $1.09, coiling at the apex of a descending triangle that has been compressing price since the June low. 

Bollinger Bands have squeezed to their tightest point since the trend began, a setup that historically precedes a sharp directional move. 

All four EMAs sit overhead as resistance: 20-day at $1.10, 50-day at $1.13, 100-day at $1.22, and 200-day at $1.41.

The triangle apex is days away. A break above $1.10 targets $1.14 and above. A break below $1.05 opens $1 fast. With the Bollinger squeeze this tight, the move in either direction will carry significant momentum.

Key levels for XRP:

-   $1.10 — 20-day EMA, breakout trigger
-   $1.14 — Bollinger upper band, next resistance on a confirmed break
-   $1.05 — Bollinger lower band and triangle floor, must hold
-   $1 — psychological support below
