# SBUX Earnings: Starbucks' Stock Rises 8% on Beat-and-Raise Quarter

Shares of Starbucks (SBUX) are up 8% after the coffee chain delivered strong quarterly financial results and raised its guidance for the remainder of the year.

The Seattle-based company announced earnings per share (EPS) of $0.85, which handily beat the $0.66 that was expected on Wall Street. Revenue for the year's second quarter totaled $9.32 billion U.S., which was ahead of the consensus forecast among analysts of $9.16 billion.

Looking ahead, Starbucks said that it now expects earnings of $2.55 to $2.65 a share, up from its previous outlook of $2.25 to $2.45. Management added that they project global same-store sales will rise nearly 6% and U.S. same-store sales will climb more than 6% for all of 2026.
