# Intel rarely opens chip technology to a startup co-invested by Chen Liwu

According to sources and documents reviewed by the media, Intel has allowed a startup to use some of its processor technology, which is a rare move for the American chip manufacturer. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has a long-standing investment relationship with the head of the startup. According to Delaware company registration documents, the startup named RosaicLabs Inc. submitted its initial registration documents in May. The media was unable to find the company's official website or relevant information on LinkedIn, a situation that is common among early-stage chip startups operating under confidentiality. According to updated filing documents from July, the CEO of Rosaic is Amarjit Gill. Gill is an experienced venture capitalist and chip industry executive who assisted Gelsinger in forming the founding team for another chip company, Rivos. Meta acquired Rivos last year, beating Intel, while Gelsinger served as the chairman of Rivos at that time
