# Optical Communication Sector Rises Broadly Intraday; LITE Up Nearly 12%, AXTI Up Nearly 20%

During Wednesday's (July 30) intraday session, the optical communication sector rallied broadly with all mainstream names trading in positive territory. As of press time, **LITE.US** was up nearly 12% at $673.69, while **AXTI.US** surged nearly 20% to $44.14, leading the sector higher.
