# M Stanley Predicts PING AN 1H NPAT to Hike 29%; Rating Overweight

Morgan Stanley issued a report expecting PING AN (02318.HK) \-0.300 (-0.511%) Short selling $630.76M; Ratio 31.861% to deliver solid results for 1H, making its 0.77x 2027E P/B and 6% dividend yield more attractive. The broker rated the stock Overweight with a TP of HKD88.

PING AN will release its 1H results after market close on August 20. The broker expected operating profit for 1H to grow 8%, while NPAT was forecast to add 29% YoY. Asset management and life insurance were expected to juice net profit growth.

The broker predicted the VNB growth for Ping An Life to slow to 11% in 1H, implying a 3% YoY decline in 2Q. 3Q will also face an extremely high base, while management continues to maintain its double-digit growth target for 2026. A lower base in 4Q will help achieve the guidance.
