# Trading Volume Drops 75% on First Day of South Korea's Tightened Leveraged ETF Rules

According to reports, on the first day that South Korean financial regulators implemented restrictions on single-stock leveraged ETFs, trading volume for related products plunged to one-quarter of the previous day's level.

Today's trading data for single-stock leveraged ETFs from the Korea Exchange (KRX) shows that the total turnover for 16 single-stock leveraged and inverse ETFs stood at KRW 3.3071 trillion on the first day of the new rules. This figure represents a sharp 75.3% decline from the previous day (KRW 12.4485 trillion).
