This happened while the total cryptocurrency market capitalization increased by 6.8%. WLFI went live for trading in September 2025. Following a brief early spike, the coin plummeted and has failed to bounce back. Currently, the token is down 88% from its all-time high. Roughly $6 billion worth of investors’ wealth has been wiped out since the coin peaked at $0.46. **AirdropAlert** founder **Morten Christensen**, who holds WLFI, told Benzinga that four-fifths of his holdings are locked in a two-year vesting period and that he sees little value in them owing to his skepticism about the project’s potential. Earlier in May, World Liberty Financial sued cryptocurrency entrepreneur **Justin Sun** for defamation, following an earlier lawsuit filed by Sun against the company.
