Amazon (AMZN) is on track for its best daily percentage gain since 2012 after it reported its second-quarter earnings. Furthermore, Amazon Web Services (AWS) revenue growth accelerated to 37% from 28% in the prior quarter. Amazon credited the gains to rising AI and chip demand.
Meanwhile, the University of Michigan's Index of Consumer Sentiment was 55.2, up from 54.4 in June and above the estimate of 54. Both readings have risen significantly since the start of the U.S.-Iran war.
