Consumer discretionary was the top-performing sector as Amazon (AMZN) surged after reporting its second-quarter earnings. The e-commerce giant grew revenue by 19.6% to $200.61 billion, while Amazon Web Services (AWS) growth accelerated to 37% from 28%. O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY) was also a top performer after posting a double beat on its second-quarter revenue and adjusted EPS earlier this week.
