# Samsung and SK Hynix are no longer monopolizing! It is reported that CXMT's LPDDR6 is nearing the end of development verification, aiming for global mass production in the second half of the year

China's "Time Weekly" reported on Saturday (1st) citing sources that in the global first mass production race of LPDDR6, Changxin Storage is nearing the end of the research and development verification phase, getting closer to the first mass production.

The introduction of LPDDR products generally has four important milestones, including die-level verification, research and development verification, small batch introduction verification, and finally entering the formal mass production stage. This means that a mobile memory chip must undergo several rigorous tests before it can truly land on the terminal side.

The testing content during the research and development verification phase includes compatibility verification, system stability verification, performance and power consumption testing, mechanical reliability testing, and other aspects, comprehensively verifying the rationality and reliability of the product design while tracking potential risks in advance.

The report pointed out that the Chinese industry had already reported in March this year that Changxin Storage was actively promoting the landing of LPDDR6 products, and had sent samples to core customers at that time, expecting to achieve global first mass production introduction in the second half of this year.

According to relevant information, the design specification speed of Changxin's first LPDDR6 product is 12800 Mbps, with a basic operating speed of 10667 Mbps in coordination with SoC, a die capacity of 16Gb, a chip capacity of 16GB, and using a 1295 Ball POP package, showing significant optimization in low power design and RAS functionality compared to LPDDR5X products
