Following this week's earnings reports, the projected capital expenditures of the five major U.S. tech giants for 2027 have exceeded $1 trillion, equivalent to 2.8% of GDP.

The less than $500 billion in capital spending for 2025 already drew market attention, and the doubling of this scale over two years has directly turned the cash flow of these tech giants negative.
