In addition, the space exploration company SpaceX will issue its quarterly earnings report this week. The three major U.S. stock indices performed well last week, with gains ranging from 1% to 1.6%, and the Dow Jones ended a three-week decline. Looking ahead to this week, corporate earnings continue to be one of the market's focal points, especially for SpaceX, which went public in June this year. After releasing its earnings report tomorrow (4th), over $100 billion worth of company shares will be unlocked on Thursday (6th). Additionally, semiconductor company AMD, memory leader SanDisk, Caterpillar, McDonald's, and Merck Sharp & Dohme, which are all components of the Dow Jones, will also announce their quarterly earnings this week. The market is also paying attention to several employment-related data points to be released in the U.S. this week, particularly the non-farm payroll report for July, which will be published on Friday (7th), to assess the interest rate hike outlook after the Federal Reserve maintained interest rates last week. Market estimates suggest that the U.S. non-farm payrolls for July will increase by 85,000, up from an increase of 57,000 in June, with the unemployment rate expected to remain at 4.2%. During the same period, the ADP private sector employment report, commonly referred to as "little non-farm," will be released first on Wednesday (5th), with an expected increase of 68,000 private sector jobs in July. This week, there are also several employment data points, with the June job openings report expected to show a decrease of 93,000 to about 7.5 million. On Thursday (6th), the number of initial jobless claims for the previous week is expected to increase by 5,000 to 202,000. In addition, the Institute for Supply Management will release the July Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) and Non-Manufacturing PMI today (3rd) and on Wednesday, with the Manufacturing PMI expected to rise to 53.9.
