With effect from last Saturday (1st), users who need to order SIM cards through internet channels can only process applications through official channels such as telecom operators' official apps and official websites, while third-party internet channels will no longer provide SIM card-related services. The telecom operators said they recently discovered that some illegal merchants falsely claimed to be "authorized operator partners" to publish fake SIM card sales information, or used SIM card sales as a pretext to collect users' sensitive personal information including identity documents, addresses and contact details, thereby infringing users' rights and exposing them to significant information leakage risks. To effectively safeguard customers' personal information security, the telecom companies will adjust and upgrade SIM card business operations on internet channels. ### Related Stocks - [00762.HK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/00762.HK.md) - [00728.HK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/00728.HK.md) - [00941.HK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/00941.HK.md) - [600941.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/600941.CN.md) - [600050.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/600050.CN.md) - [601728.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/601728.CN.md) - [CHA.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CHA.US.md) - [HCMD.SG](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/HCMD.SG.md) - [80941.HK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/80941.HK.md) ## Related News & Research - [China Unicom says June 5G subscribers rise to 249 million](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296196943.md) - [CHINA TELECOM 1H26 Net Profit Fades 14.9% to RMB19.588B, Beats Forecast; Interim DPS HKD0.1606](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296462591.md) - [CHINA TELECOM 2Q 5G Network Net Additions Slow to 8.37 million Users](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296465643.md) - [CHINA UNICOM 1H26 Net Profit Sinks 34.6% to RMB9.468B; Computing Power Revenue Up 13%; No Div.](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296202650.md) - [China Unicom Hong Kong names Qiu Baohua senior vice president](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296196881.md) --- > **Disclaimer: This article is for reference only and does not constitute any investment advice.**
