# Another Well-Known Overseas ETF Adds CXMT

Recently, the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM), which focuses on the memory chip industry chain, adjusted its holdings again. A-share memory enterprise CXMT entered the fund's top ten heavyweight stocks with a weight of 2.52%. Meanwhile, the US actively managed ETF, Tema Memory ETF (DISK), adjusted the stock to its largest heavyweight holding, with a proportion as high as 12.97%.

This series of intensive allocations by top-tier overseas funds focused on the memory industry chain **not only signifies that China's memory industry is accelerating its integration into the global core semiconductor supply chain system, but also reflects the high recognition by international capital of the investment value of China's technology sector against the backdrop of exploding global AI computing demand and the continuous recovery in memory chip sentiment.**

## **US Memory ETFs Add CXMT**

The latest data shows that as of August 2 (local time), the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) underwent rebalancing. The A-share company CXMT accounted for 2.52% of the fund's holdings, ranking as the eighth largest heavyweight stock. The weighting of GigaDevice, which was previously included, fell to 1.51%, ranking as the tenth largest heavyweight stock. When GigaDevice was first included in the ETF in June this year, its weight was 2.91%.

The Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) is the world's first pure memory chip ETF, launched by Roundhill Investments and listed on the US stock market on April 2, 2026. It primarily focuses on companies within the global memory chip industry chain. Recently, with the rapid growth in demand in areas such as AI servers and high-performance computing, the sentiment in the memory chip industry has continued to improve, and global capital's attention to the memory industry chain has heated up.

In terms of holdings, the ETF's top ten heavyweight stocks cover major global memory manufacturers and industry chain companies, including international semiconductor giants such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron Technology. The new inclusion of CXMT also reflects the attention of overseas capital to the development of China's memory industry.

Notably, the latest data shows that the Tema Memory ETF (DISK), an actively managed ETF under US provider Tema ETFs that focuses on the memory chip industry, has adjusted CXMT to its largest heavyweight stock, with a holding proportion of 12.97%.

The product included the stock in its portfolio on the first day of CXMT's listing, assigning it a high weight of over 10%, which directly propelled the stock into the fund's top ten heavyweight stocks. As of July 31, DISK's assets under management stood at $77.3684 million, with its size growing more than 30-fold in July.

## **Technology Hardware Opportunities Remain in Focus**

In recent years, China's memory industry has continuously promoted technological breakthroughs and industrialization, with relevant companies making constant progress in related niche segments. Among them, CXMT focuses on the DRAM memory chip sector and has currently launched multiple commercial DRAM products, widely used in mobile terminals, computers, servers, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things, making it an important participant in the domestic DRAM industry. GigaDevice's main business covers areas such as memory, microcontrollers, and sensors.

Looking ahead, institutions believe that the continuous development of the AI industry and the acceleration of localization will bring new growth space to the technology hardware sector.

Li Zhuo, a fund manager in the Research Department of Penghua Fund, stated that the AI penetration rate of technology hardware assets has remained at a relatively low stage in the recent past, and the rapid iteration of models will continue to bring opportunities for profit improvement across the industry chain. As market trading disturbances gradually ease and industrial logic becomes clearer, the technology hardware sector is still expected to become an important direction for generating returns.

Regarding specific segments, Li Zhuo believes that the domestic semiconductor industry is entering a dual-driven stage of performance realization and the opening up of long-term potential. With the advancement of localization in areas such as computing chips, wafer manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment, related companies are expected to see growth potential. At the same time, leading companies in the AI infrastructure industry chain, such as optical interconnects and PCBs, also possess certain allocation value.

"The period from 2026 to 2028 may become a key stage for domestic computing power to transition from 'industrial logic deduction' to 'order and performance realization.' On one hand, the growth in domestic large model inference demand is driving increased procurement of domestic computing power, continuously expanding application scenarios; on the other hand, as chip localization continues to advance, improvements in yield rates for advanced processes and capacity expansion are gradually improving supply capabilities," said Harvest Fund.
