Similarly, they rose by 52% from a year earlier in Denmark, based on data from Bilstatistik, a Danish vehicle data platform. However, registrations fell by 97% in Norway and 60% in Sweden, according to data from automotive organizations from both countries. Numbers for other markets, such as the UK, are not yet available. ## **Is Tesla's European Comeback Shaky?** These numbers are important as Tesla has recently faced sales trouble in Europe, one of its key markets. The carmaker has suffered two years of consecutive sales drops in the region. According to market observers and analysts, this is due to multiple factors, including CEO Elon Musk's political involvement. Notably, registration numbers in recent months showed an improving picture. However, the latest numbers cast doubt about whether the comeback in Europe is firmly established. The numbers are also notable as higher fuel costs triggered by the U.S.-Iran war and government incentives have pushed more European car drivers to shun petrol cars. In June, European EV sales jumped by 51% while new-car registrations rose by 13%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association. ## **What's Next for Tesla?** During Q2 2026, Tesla reported a quarter record delivery.
