# Robert Half Announces Leadership Transition at Protiviti Unit

Robert Half ( (RHI) ) just unveiled an update.

On August 3, 2026, Robert Half announced a planned leadership transition at its global consulting subsidiary Protiviti, under which long-serving president and CEO Joe Tarantino will step down from that role on December 31, 2026 and become senior managing director on January 1, 2027. Tarantino, who has been with Protiviti since its inception and led nearly two decades of expansion in services, geography and culture, will focus on executive client engagement, leadership development and strategic relationship management in his new position.

Effective January 1, 2027, current chief operating officer Cory Gunderson will assume the role of president and chief executive officer of Protiviti and will also become an executive officer of Robert Half, as part of the company’s long-term succession plan. The orderly handover, which will see Tarantino and Gunderson working closely together through the end of 2026, is designed to ensure continuity for clients and employees while positioning Protiviti to continue its growth and innovation in global consulting, reinforcing Robert Half’s broader strategic alignment between its consulting and talent solutions businesses.

**Spark’s Take on RHI Stock**

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, RHI is a Neutral.

RHI scores 60 primarily due to weak current financial performance (sharp revenue and margin compression) that is only partly offset by a strong balance sheet and still-positive cash generation. Technicals are a notable positive with clear price strength versus major moving averages and supportive momentum indicators. Valuation is balanced by a high dividend yield but a relatively high P/E for a downcycle, while the earnings call outlook remains mixed with Talent Solutions improving but Protiviti still a near-term drag.
