# Report: CHINA MOBILE Evaluates Sale of Minority Stake in Thai Telecom Firm True

CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) -0.050 (-0.060%) Short selling $94.72M; Ratio 9.825% is working with advisers to gauge preliminary acquisition interest from potential buyers for its minority stake in Thai telecom company True Corp., Bloomberg, citing sources, reported.

The discussions are reportedly ongoing and may ultimately not result in a transaction. Based on True's latest annual report, CHINA MOBILE holds about a 7.8% stake in True, with the holding valued at approximately USD1.1 billion. 

In addition to having more than 48 million mobile subscribers, True also operates home broadband and cable television businesses.
