# BABA-W-Backed 3D Modeling Startup VAST Reportedly Exploring HK Listing

3D modeling startup VAST is exploring an IPO in Hong Kong, and it is working with Bank of America and CICC to prepare for a potential share offer, Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, reported.

Investors in VAST include BABA-W (09988.HK) +1.200 (+0.958%) Short selling $3.54B; Ratio 14.772% , BIDU-SW (09888.HK) +0.100 (+0.091%) Short selling $143.82M; Ratio 17.464% and Ince Capital.

The company reached a collaboration with NTES (09999.HK) \-1.800 (-0.865%) Short selling $442.59M; Ratio 37.166% on "Where Winds Meet", allowing players to upload photos in the game to instantly generate interactive 3D character avatars.

The company was founded in 2023 by Simon Song, a founding member of LLM developer MINIMAX-W (00100.HK) \-19.200 (-7.767%) Short selling $168.61M; Ratio 9.267% . The company recently raised nearly USD200 million, becoming another Chinese AI company with a valuation of USD1 billion.
