# Japan Jun Real Wages Maintain 1.6% YoY Growth, Rising for Six Straight Months

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced that labor cash earnings (nominal average wages) in Japan rose 3.4% YoY in June to JPY531,677 per month (approximately USD3,373.6), in line with expectations. The previous figure was revised to a 3.3% increase.

Japan's real wages in June maintained a 1.6% YoY increase, unchanged from the previous revised reading, marking the sixth consecutive month of growth.

Japanese workers' base salary in June rose 3.4% YoY, compared with a 3% increase in the previous reading. Overtime pay maintained a 2.8% YoY increase, unchanged from the previous downwardly revised reading. (da/u)
