# US-Listed Firms Accelerate Strategic Divestitures and AI Pivots Amid Mounting Regulatory Scrutiny

A sweeping wave of strategic divestitures and artificial intelligence integrations is fundamentally reshaping the operations of a diverse cohort of US-listed companies this quarter. Even as several firms successfully pivot toward high-margin tech infrastructures, multinational operators are increasingly facing severe regulatory scrutiny and supply-chain bottlenecks. According to corporate filings and people familiar with the matter, management teams are rolling out aggressive restructuring plans to shore up their balance sheets and secure future growth.

**Vistance Networks (VISN.US)** exemplifies the recent push to offload core assets. Following the divestiture of its Connectivity and Cable Solutions unit and a rebranding from CommScope, the company completed the sale of its RUCKUS Networks business to Belden for **USD 1.846 billion** on **July 1, 2026**. The firm reported **USD 3.49 billion** in trailing 12-month total revenue and Q1 non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA of **USD 87.3 million**. Taking an even more aggressive path, **OceanPal (OP.US)** completely exited the commercial shipping industry. The company closed the sale of its vessel-holding unit on **July 31, 2026**, pivoting its sole operations to a NEAR-powered AI cloud infrastructure under the new corporate identity SovereignAI, supported by a **USD 120 million** PIPE transaction.

The integration of AI into traditional operations is also accelerating at a rapid pace. **WORK Medical Technology Group (WOK.US)** noted that its subsidiary’s AI-automated blood cell analyzer secured Chinese production approval, setting the stage for domestic manufacturing in the **first half of 2026**; the firm also invested **USD 1 million** in US-based Neologics Bioscience. In ad-tech, **Knorex (KNRX.US)** rolled out AI-driven keyword optimizers for its platform in **April 2026**. Upgrades to its AI model drove a **47%** surge in conversion quality while slashing cost-per-acquisition by **45%**, according to company statements, though the firm recently received an exchange non-compliance notice over delayed annual filings. Separately, e-commerce operator **Fort Technology (FRTT.US)**, which posted recent quarterly total revenue of **USD 37.78 million**, signed an LOI in June to pivot into the lucrative data center backup power market.

In the manufacturing and clean energy space, operators are balancing record output with mounting regulatory pressure. **Sigma Lithium (SGML.US)** produced **35,000 tons** of lithium concentrate in **Q2 2026**, beating its **33,000-ton** guidance, following a quarter where it posted a record **61%** gross margin. However, the company is actively negotiating with Brazilian state officials to resolve historical environmental notices carrying financial penalties. On the automotive front, **Nissan Motor (NSANY.US)** is navigating significant headwinds. While Q4 total revenue rose to **3.49 trillion JPY**, the automaker was forced to recall over **443,000 vehicles** in the US in July due to engine failures. According to people familiar with the matter, Nissan is exploring EV production partnerships with Foxconn to prevent an imminent domestic plant closure.

Meanwhile, multinational fintech operator **Wise Group (WSE.US)** is facing heightened legal risks. Despite posting a **29%** jump in net income to **USD 2.5 billion** for **FY2026** alongside a massive **19 million** active customer base, US regulators rejected the firm's national trust bank charter application due to deficiencies in its anti-money-laundering protocols, the Wall Street Journal reported. Furthermore, Brussels prosecutors are aggressively investigating the company over roughly **EUR 500 million** in allegedly suspicious transactions. Elsewhere in the market, data analytics provider **Teradata (TDC.US)** and the crypto investment vehicle **Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC.US)** continue to navigate broader sector volatility without citing major structural overhauls in recent weeks.
