Shangshan Gold soars 43% as gold price holds above $4,000
Shangshan Gold (1939.HK) soared more than 43% in Hong Kong trading to HK$0.53. The stock briefly surged nearly 49% during the session before paring gains, with intraday swings remaining elevated.
Spot gold held above $4,000 an ounce, stoking haven demand and lifting the broader Hong Kong gold sector. Several gold stocks, including China Gold International, gained more than 10%.
