# Citi Starts 30-day Positive Catalyst Watch on JIANGXI COPPER , Rates Buy with TP at HKD49.5

Citi issued a research report saying that it has started a 30-day positive catalyst watch on JIANGXI COPPER (00358.HK) +0.580 (+1.523%) Short selling $89.33M; Ratio 9.886% , expecting the share price to benefit from rising copper prices. The broker maintained its Buy rating on the company, with an H-share TP of HKD49.5.

The broker said its team remains constructive on the outlook for copper prices over the coming weeks, citing signs of tightening physical supply in China's spot market. It expects copper prices to reach USD14,500 per tonne within the next three months, with a year-end target price of USD15,000 per tonne. The broker estimated that for every 10% increase in copper prices, JIANGXI COPPER's 2026 net profit will increase by 8%.
