# Big Tech Mixed in Overnight Session, Google Falls Nearly 6%, Amazon Down Almost 2%

Big tech stocks displayed divergent trends during the overnight session on August 5. As of press time, Google (GOOGL.US) fell nearly 6% to $364.47, Amazon (AMZN.US) dropped almost 2% to $272.56, Apple (AAPL.US) edged up over 0.6% to $313.14, and Tesla (TSLA.US) declined more than 1.8% to $321.98.

Among other names, TSMC (TSM.US) slipped over 1.4% in overnight trading to $412.15. Leveraged ETFs saw significant volatility: the triple-long Tesla ETF (TSLL.US) fell over 0.2% to $7.79, while the triple-short Tesla ETF (TSDD.US) gained 0.56% to $10.66. The double-long Google ETF (GGLL.US) retreated sharply, dropping over 11% to $114.90, whereas the double-short Google ETF (GGLS.US) rose slightly over 0.1% to $55.50.

The tech sector faced overall pressure during the overnight session, with Google and Amazon leading declines among major names while Apple managed a modest gain. Investors should monitor upcoming earnings guidance and macroeconomic data for their impact on sector valuations.
