# Sonoma Pharmaceuticals Turns EBITDA Positive for First Time with Record Quarterly Revenue

**Sonoma Pharmaceuticals Inc.** (NASDAQ:SNOA) on Thursday posted a first-quarter loss of 9 cents per share compared to a loss of 76 cents a year ago.

"Our first quarter results demonstrate that Sonoma has reached an important inflection point," said **Amy Trombly**, CEO of Sonoma.

Total revenue reached $6.4 million during the quarter, reflecting a $2.4 million rise compared to $4.0 million in the prior-year period.

U.S. sales spearheaded this expansion, soaring 141% or $1.4 million, propelled by robust over-the-counter demand alongside increased sales from both new and established distributors.

European operations generated an additional $0.5 million, marking a 34% increase due to heightened product demand and favorable currency exchange rates.

Meanwhile, revenues in Asia, Latin America, and remaining global regions also advanced year-over-year.

Management noted that Asian and Rest of World revenues often fluctuate quarterly as clients place larger, less frequent shipments to leverage volume discounts and lower freight expenses, while Latin American growth was driven by order timing for overflow manufacturing.

## Margins Improve as EBITDA Turns Positive

Gross profit for the quarter rose to $2.6 million, or a margin of 40%, up from $1.5 million (36% margin), during the same quarter last year.

Additionally, EBITDA turned positive to $0.1 million, rebounding from an EBITDA loss of $1.0 million in the previous-year quarter.

As of June 30, 2026, total cash and cash equivalents stood at $5.3 million.

## CEO Highlights Growth Pipeline

"We delivered record quarterly revenue, more than doubled our U.S. business, expanded gross margins to 40%, and achieved positive adjusted EBITDA for the first time in the company’s history—all while keeping operating expenses essentially flat," Trombly said on Thursday.

"With new FDA clearances, expanding distribution partnerships, and a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities, we believe we are well positioned to continue delivering profitable growth," the CEO said in the earnings release.

**SNOA Price Action:** Sonoma Pharmaceuticals shares were up 9.73% at $1.24 during premarket trading on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
