Boris Peaker has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors related to Prime Medicine’s emerging clinical catalysts and differentiated technology. He highlights that the company has obtained regulatory clearances in the U.S. and New Zealand to initiate a global Phase I/II trial of PM577a in Wilson’s disease, with first human data expected in 2027, and views this as a key inflection point supported by a validated lipid nanoparticle platform shared with the AATD program.

At the same time, he emphasizes that Prime’s preclinical results in Wilson’s disease show high editing efficiency, durable correction in hepatocytes across both mouse and NHP models, and restoration of copper balance toward normal levels. In his view, the mechanistic fit of prime editing for genetically driven liver disorders, combined with the structured clinical plan and aligned AATD timeline, justifies maintaining a Buy rating and an unchanged $5 price target as investors await initial clinical readouts.

According to TipRanks, Peaker is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 23.1% and a 48.63% success rate. Peaker covers the Healthcare sector, focusing on stocks such as Enliven Therapeutics, aTyr Pharma, and Elicio Therapeutics.

In another report released today, LifeSci Capital also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $6.00 price target.
